Hellllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooo!
Sigh... it's so beautiful... I wish you were in my budget... seen and gone in a day... ok, I need to get over these shoes and another pair I found last week...
So, right. Onto the words.
And the changes are kind of nice.
I've shifted to place that's like college with a bit more responsibility. I still have the bills, rent, and groceries and a budget for going out and shopping. I just don't rely on my dad to paying all that fun stuff - it comes out of my paycheck. I get to play house - though this time, I do it on my own (one thing that roommates are awesome for ^_^). I still go to the gym - and now I have more motivation, cause well - I pay for it. I still make my dinner, but leftovers are actually packed for lunch and I actually eat breakfast.
However, my favorite part is that I get to walk to work every day. I mean when the weather is shitty and the sun set early (pre-daylight savings) it's a pain. But waking up with the morning sun, and just being outside is something I've definitely missed in the past year.
Of course I'm excited that I'm near a new city, and there's going to be so much to explore. Currently, I've been taking my free time to almost literally do nothing, and it's really very nice not to have people nagging me for it ^_^. Well I'll get out soon enough - there are people, museums, restaurants, and a whole dang city to explore. I'll get out sometime soon (hopefully before people come visit... I still need to figure out the whole train thing).
Honestly, I can't wait till I'm done training for the half-marathon again so that I can actually take the different kinds of classes they have at a gym.
[On a side note, it's really weird seeing the actor, who's "blind" in one show, not blind in another. I can't tell whether he's actually looking to doing the weird unfocused look like he does when he's "blind". Right. Back to the topic.]
It also means I'll finally get into a real groove/routine. And I'll get to bring back a whole bunch of my shoes and other clothes for a warmer season.
It's also a time when I'll finally get an idea of how well I'm doing at work, and whether or not I'll get a raise - fingers crossed, I will :D. I'm at a small company - just six of us working together. So far everything seems to be moving along, and I'm keeping up with the work. I'll admit, when I have to computer work, I'm quite the distracted mind. But at the lab bench I'm quite a focused worker, and that's pretty good.
Moving out of the house and into my new apartment was a bit of a challenge. There were the exciting stories about larger, more comfy beds, large screen tech, and living room furniture - that I've shared with a few. But of course there were the tussles, and well I can't really say I feel like I've left home. It's most likely due to the fact that after leaving I came back home only to leave again. And with that break in the middle, some ties were drawn a bit tighter from one end.
But in the meantime, I'll attempt to finish unpacking and finding a place for everything in my new apartment (and I realize that I am now way to used to having a living room), and maybe even establish/re-establish certain boundaries and friendships.
So I'll leave you all with a happy song, and hope the weather decides to join in ^_^.
